WestLake FREEZE

This is just raw footage of the Westlake Mall freeze. This project was really fun to do. The original idea of freezing for about 10 to even 15 minutes did not happen because as a group when we were doing our practice, we barely could make it all the way through our frozen position for more than 5 minutes. That day was a bit cold and breezy and during the freeze I know my eyes were watering but we endured it all the way. As we were going to the location, the thought in my mind was are we even going to get any reaction at all. But after watching the different footages, it was really awesome that we got that kind of a reaction to our project. The classic double take reaction, to people taking pictures, and even giving comments like "I've seen this on Youtube before" were very good reactions from people. I would say it was a successful class project.

I recorded my motorcycle starting up and idling and then revving it up. a few times i revved it up then i just looped the revving sounds a few times. Most of the time the motorcycle is idling.

Graffiti

Random video I picked out from youtube about graffiti, well actually I really liked the background music. All the videos about graffitis that were shown in class were very informative and also one of the groups did their project about graffiti as well. I was aware of tagging but did not really know about bombing and splashing, these were new vocabulary for me. Graffiti in the form of markers, brushes, spray paint, and even stickers...I see graffiti as art. One thing that stuck with me from one of the video that we viewed in class was that graffiti should remain in the streets for all to see. It should not be restricted to museums and art galleries where you have to pay to see it. Another video I remember was the graffiti removal video. This was also a form of art. I agree with this also. Who is to say what art is or is not. Art is everywhere.
